Lottery Singapore Reports Strong Results

Lottery Singapore

Lottery Singapore is a legal gambling form that allows you to win money through a simple system. The game is available across Singapore, and you can even play it online. There are many benefits to playing lottery games, including the opportunity to generate cash and socialize with people from different backgrounds.

The Tote Board – the statutory body that oversees lottery operator Singapore Pools and horse racing operator Singapore Turf Club – reports strong results in its last financial year, which ended this March. The amount that punters spent on lotteries (which include 4D, Toto and Singapore Sweep) and sports bets was SGD9.2 billion in the Tote Board’s financial year, a 40 per cent jump from $6.6 billion in the previous year.

Relaxed COVID-19 restrictions – and the resumption of global sports tournaments – also contributed to the surge in spending on Singapore Pools lotteries and sports bets, a Tote Board spokesperson told The Straits Times in December 2022.

The easing of COVID-19 restrictions has led to a surge in Singapore’s gambling industry, with the city-state recording the largest amount ever spent on lottery and sports bets in its history. Singapore’s casinos reaped more than SGD125 million in entry collections last financial year, a record over four years.
