Singapore Lottery

The Singapore Lottery offers various gambling games such as Toto, Sweep and 4D. These are available in the country’s regional newspapers and also on the organization’s website.

As far as the latest results are concerned, the first prize for the Toto game was shared by two lucky punters in January 2022. Meanwhile, a total of SGD9.2 billion was spent on lotteries and sports betting in the financial year that ended March 2022. This is a 40% increase from the previous year.

The resumption of sports tournaments was responsible for the increase in betting. A survey conducted by the National Council on Problem Gambling in Singapore found that almost half of the population in the country had bet on the lottery during the previous year.

The Singapore Pools (Private) Limited is the only legal operator of the lottery. It is governed by the Tote Board.

Singapore Pools aims to ensure that players follow the rules and are responsible when playing. To do this, the company has introduced several measures. For instance, anyone who places a bet with an unlicensed or illegal operator can face a fine of up to SGD10,000. In addition, Singaporeans are encouraged to be responsible while gambling and not to overdo it.

In order to purchase tickets, customers must be over 21 years of age. They must visit a physical outlet and have their identity verified before buying. Customers can then place their bets on permutations from 0000 to 9999.
